Staff Selection Commission – Combined Graduate Level Examination is one of the examination process conducted by the Government of India to hire staffs for various posts like in ministries, departments and organizations of the Government of India and others. The SSC-CGL 2017 examination result will be declared on October 31st of 2017. Steps to Check the SSC CGL 2017 Result
- At first, visit the official website of SSC which is ssc.nic.in
- You will get a link which says “Declaration of Result of Combined Graduate Level (Tier 1) Examination, 2017”, click the on that link.
- A PDF file will open and that will contain the list of names of candidates who got qualified in the Tier 2 examination.
- Press Ctrl + F on the sheet and search with the individual roll number.
The answer key of the Tier 1 examination will be released on 18th September 2017.
What is the SSC CGL Tier 1 Examination About
The Tier 1 examination is conducted to shortlist the candidates to appear for the Tier 2 level of examination. The Tier 1 examination is a computer-based exam which includes 100 questions carrying 200 marks. The examination time is 1 hour and the paper is divided into 4 different parts each containing 25 questions.
Part A contains questions related to general intelligence and reasoning, part B includes general awareness, part C is related to quantitative aptitude and part D is on English comprehension. There is also a negative marking of 0.50 for each wrongly answered question.
The selection process includes the different level of examinations like Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 2 and Tier 4. The marks of all the examinations will be taken into account in the final selection, but the candidates need to clear all the examination individually to qualify for the next Tier.
Cutoff Marks of SSC CGL 2017
The cutoff mark of the SSC CGL 2017 examination will be declared along with the CGL result. So, to qualify in the exam, candidates need to score marks as per the cutoff declared. Below is the cutoff of SSC CGL 2016 which will give you an idea about the same: –
